The modeDURABLE Fellowship offers accepted Fellows a two day curriculum of reporting workshops, lectures from subject matter experts and off-site visits providing an inside look at the industry’s inner workings. Post graduation, Fellows have access to ongoing resources including feedback from seasoned journalists, brainstorms with editors, introductions to innovative brands and designers, exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into fashion’s future, and access to a trusted database of fact-checked data.
modeDURABLE is open to mid-career, global beauty, fashion, and lifestyle journalists, bloggers, podcasters, influencers & PR leaders. We'll spend one day together onsite at the School of Fashion at Parsons and, for those who can join, we'll spend a second day offsite at a facility in upstate New York. Having completed the training, you'll be ready to hit the ground running to deliver accurate, informative and - most crucially - important sustainability stories.
Our training includes:
Reporting workshops & lectures from subject matter experts
Brainstorms with editors
Feedback from seasoned journalists
Introductions to innovative brands & designers
Behind-the-scenes insights into fashion’s future
Access to database of fact-checked citations
An exclusive network
modeDurable Fellowship graduates are granted money to further their reporting after they complete their training.
Each Fellow is expected to create a piece of content based on one of the Fellowship themes within six months of completion of the program. Financial support for this work is provided by our mD partners, leading industry sustainability brands.
Each fellow’s piece will be considered for the modeDurable Award, with one fellow winning a financial award of $10,000 and a feature of their work on an mD media channel partner.
After the Fellowship, modeDurable provides our graduates access to a rolodex of experts as sources, direct access to cutting-edge fashion brands, and a database of fact-checked citations.
